Who operates this service

What we collect

  • Waitlist sign-ups: the email address you submit before launch, to notify you once the service opens.
  • Buyer accounts: the email address used for magic-link sign-in, and the orders and unlocked companies tied to it.
  • Payment data: handled entirely by our payment processors (Stripe, Paddle). We never see or store your card details.
  • Cyprus company registry data: company names, registration numbers, registered addresses and officials, sourced from the public Cyprus company registry and cross-checked against the EU VIES system. For the large majority of companies this is not personal data. In the small number of cases where a VAT record belongs to a sole trader rather than a company, it may identify a natural person; see the deletion section below.

What we do not do

We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site. The only cookie we set is a functional session cookie; a theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser via localStorage, not a cookie, and never leaves your device.

Cookies and local storage

  • Session cookie · keeps you signed in during a visit. Strictly necessary, no consent banner required.
  • Theme preference · stored in your browser (localStorage), remembers whether you last used light or dark mode. Never transmitted to us.
  • Checkout cookies · Stripe and Paddle set their own cookies during payment, governed by their own privacy policies.

Who we share data with

  • Stripe and Paddle · payment processing.
  • Resend · delivery of transactional email (sign-in links, receipts).
  • Our hosting provider · infrastructure only, no independent use of your data.

We do not sell data to third parties.

Your right to deletion

If you are a sole trader and believe a company record identifies you personally, you can ask us to remove it. Email us at info@cyprusvatnumber.com with the company name or registration number. Once actioned, the page returns a removal notice instead of the record.

You can also ask us to delete your buyer account or waitlist sign-up at any time, using the same address.

Data source disclaimer

VAT numbers are cross-checked against the EU VIES system, a free public service provided "as is" by the European Commission. We do not guarantee that a result is current at the moment you read it; always verify directly at VIES for anything time-critical.
